Our Impact
Starting in 2020, we fulfilled the role of Executive Director of this Swiss based foundation on a fractional, contract basis. Reporting directly to founder Jane Goodall and in partnership with the Jane Goodall Legacy Foundation board, we built and executed a plan to raise $150 million in endowed funds to ensure her legacy continues beyond her lifetime. We implemented best practices in governance and ran multiple board meetings per year, including an annual two-day board meeting in Europe. We also recruited over 30 global leaders to the foundation’s Council for Hope, to help fulfill our mission and serve as peer solicitors and champions. We successfully built up the foundation enough so that a full-time, European based Executive Director could take the reins from us in Summer 2024.
Starting in 2022, we have been working for Chief Development Officer Jenny Zak at All Stars Project as her Fundraising Counsel. This includes being a trusted thought partner to her as her role and her staff have increased alongside ambitious fundraising goals. We have helped Jenny navigate a CEO transition and kick off the public phase of a new, multi-year $150 million growth campaign. At any given moment, our work might include training her staff across the country on fundraising best practices, creating persuasive campaign documents, proposals, and collateral for external use, conducting research on potential new revenue generating strategies for the organization, connecting her to fellow subject matter experts, or creating customized cultivation, solicitation, or stewardship strategies for Principal Gifts prospects.
